DARN VARSITY!!
Varsity is a
busy place, I don’t know whether it’s a crossover between the London underground
during peak hour or the Indian supermarket, neah definitely the Indian
supermarket. Well varsity has opened and it’s the start of something that everyone
dreads REGISTRATION!!! The long queue and that hot Pietermaritzburg weather. Yesterday
it was my first time experiencing this, being a child that was born 172 years
after Charles Babbage (the father of computers) I had expected to do everything
online in the comfort of my home
that was my face before I found out that the Bachelor of Arts
in Politics, Philosophy and Law had to be done manually because there was a
module missing, dun dun dun dan
that’s how I felt
after hearing that. So after finding out that I should do things the old way I calmed
down because I had already filled in the form, so I go straight to that long
line and wait to get this whole thing over and done with, when I’m about half
way down the line I find out that I have to get signatures for every module I would
be doing, where? I don’t know, so after wondering around like a 6 year old at
the mall I found someone who helped me. First signature done now three left
little did I know that those three signatures had to be found in three
different places my heart just sank. After walking for miles and sweating
Cleveland I finally got all the signatures and waited again on the registration
line. Finally I get in front and I’m told I have not been financially cleared
so I had to go to student fees, came back did my registration just when I thought
I was finished little did I know I had to go and get my student id done. It’s
hot, I have been on campus since 9am and then it was 14:00 pm and I had to take
a picture, you can just imagine how it turned out. My body aches, I’m hungry
like hell and I got an ugly picture for life. DARN VARSITY.
