8 REASONS WHY I COULD NEVER HAVE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL

So I know I haven't been posting as frequently as I should, this is the case, so I just started watching these YouTube videos and they are getting alot of views and people are actually subscribing. So todays publish will be based on reasons why I'm not able to make a YouTube channel and whether or not there is still a future for blogs. I have to say we live in a time where people are just too lazy to read (there are flipping reading apps). For people like me reading has become more or less a habit like how you start to automatically like  veges because your parents used to make you down a plateful of them just for three scoops of ice cream). I'm writing this blog now while having a 70 page policy that I have to read of which I'm dreading (group assignment you know how those go). So back to business 8 reasons why I would not even consider opening a YouTube channel. Reason number one to my disadvantage at the time of me being conceived my parents had a bit of a fight with our engineer due to their lack of attendance and worship so I wasn't given an auspicious amount of time to my making which landed me into not even looking like the girl next door. Reason number two I'm sure it is quite evident with my blog that I occasionally have writers block which I refer to as lack of creativity time. Third reason is I'm so not a bundle of experience, if someone asked me how to chink a beer upside down I would have no idea neither would I know how to blow a ship of smoke inside a hole. If you didn't relate to this your life is probably boring because you haven't watched the lord of the rings. Reason number four (sad face) I have the most inconsistent internet access. I know its a shame I should be sharing links day in and out. Fifth reason they actually have people who think they are funny which are their sponsors where as I rely on my mum's opinion (you know how that goes). Six reason watching them is like watching the old superman, smallville and man of steel they tell the exact same story. Reason number seven so someone took an hour to text you back (gosh cry me a river) some of us are on to the next one by the first ten minutes. Reason number eight if you were following this whole time I actually have studying to do, how and when they study baffles me. Therefore I conclude by saying those guys aren't mega geniuses like most of us,who actually study so yurp there is a future for bloggers that's if we keep studying.

FIRST FOOD DIARY

So here am I sitting on my desk, in my boudoir overlooking the pool and the trees, it a nice chilly day in Pietermaritzburg. The sun is up, the birds are singing and with my green tea right next to me, what more can happen than being inspired to write my blog. It is exactly 07:15 AM in South Africa for some people who knew me it is astounding that I’m already awake at this time. Well guess what? I woke up at 05:30 so eat dirt douchebags. So here I’m power walking my way to the school gym for my morning spinning class only to find that it was already full and that was the only morning session ( I felt like gut punching someone either than myself or maybe that was yesterday’s anger because the trainer whom I feel needs a spinning class himself seems like is here to stay). Well I had said that I will update you on my food diary (which will be yesterday’s for those people who don’t like complications in their lives). For my morning and lunch I had a plum, grapes and banana smoothie with two scoops of futurelife high protein on the box it says seven scoops I swear those people are just trying to drill a hole in our budget. For dinner I had an Indian inspired lentil curry (they taste the same as sugar beans people so calm down) with homemade whole wheat roti (the pride filled part of me felt that I had to mention that it was homemade). I didn’t snack because I’m a broke student. However I made a refreshing lychees and coconut milk sherbet which will definitely be my desert today. I’m still yet to know how to make protein ice cream. With all that said and my tranquil introduction included (to tell you the truth it is way better on paper) I have to say Au Revoir.

P.S Today I’m going to try a spinach and banana smoothie I don’t why but my bible(fitspiration) says it is supposedly good for you.

FOOD DIARY

So I’m suppose to start a food diary in my efforts to change myself into a protein shake drinking, squatting and ease push up doing maniac. To tell you the truth I’m looking forward to it. So even though I’m currently writing this on my one notes, these records will be shared with you daily, trust me it won’t just be a list of pistachios and wild rice or even weird vegan food (I don’t know why but vegans just never seem human). Any whoo, not only will this list show my culinary abilities, yes people the food won’t be store bought, unlike those weird people on come dine with me, it’s a cooking competition people invest on a class or don’t join. I hope you will all be with me through my road to fitness or in my words “reason to be naked all the time (serious face) all the time. Yes this means that becoming part of the SRC has been put to a halt because dudes I can’t keep a job, work out and learn French yet still fitting in my sleeping patterns at the same time. Gobsmacked? Don’t worry me too sometimes my aspirations shock me as well. To see my progress follow me on my instagram account mmabatho_m.

P.S I wrote this at 3am while listening to Mumford and Sons sounds like a law firm, I know but they are a really cool band. But for some reason I can’t stop myself from wanting to say YOU BETTER WORK B%#$H!!

MATCH REVIEW NUMBER 1

So me thinks my somewhat motivation for our national team actually came in handy because I have to say my home side did well. We won against Mozambique 3-1 and some would say the level of difficulty was not the highest however morale is high. 2 more games to go and my tushy would be as tight as Joey Gloor.

HER NAME IS SOUTH AFRICA AND SHE IS VERY DEAR TO MY HEART

They tried to separate her blue, red, white, green, yellow and black all individual colours but through amazing selflessness she thrived and became one nation. One caring, loving, filled with rhythm, braaing nation. She has conquered a lot and still yet to change the world.
They can say whatever they want about her but she will always know that she is a working progress which has been a pillar to a few of its neighbours (yes you know yourselves) that have had more years than her in action. Her name is South Africa and she is very dear to my heart. She is not perfect I’ll tell you that, she comes with a lot of baggage and scars but she is filled with all the gold, platinum and diamond. You will abandon her from time to time for her crime rates and minor racial segregation but the beauty about her and her people is that they know that they have a long way to go and they are moving towards that.

Her name is South Africa and she is very dear to my heart.
Well most of you might wonder why out of the blue this maniac who promised to talk about varsity is suddenly a diplomat. While churning my ice cream I realised that it is exactly 10 hours until our national football team plays Mozambique and I just want them to remember this about their country and know that we are behind them even though they embarrassed us with their penalty shoot outs against Mali during the African Cup of Nations. Know that all is forgiven until you mess up again (not saying that you will).

"THE CAMPAIGN"

YES IT IS THE CORRECT PICTURE

Well some of you might read my blog and think I’m the sort of person who tries to be funny all the time  (well I can’t lie and say I don’t) .When I first started I wanted as much viewers as much as I wanted to share about my life but what I have recently seen is that this blog is rather one dimensional. As a student I too have views and to your amazement the person who somewhat ridicules certain hobbies is planning on running for the Student Representative Council, this might be a long story but what is a blog if it’s not about writing stories people will read. I got the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)  some may know it some might not.  The thing is I’m a quite a loyal person however in that loyalty I try to instil some rationality which means I would like to have reasons for that loyalty (sometimes it doesn’t work perfectly especially when it comes to family) this that I can’t as loyal to my varsity or campus so to say because we quite a segregated varsity because there is not much to brag about (YES I SAID IT) therefore this lovely lady me for you who are too slow has decide to run for SRC to implement some of the things I see missing and that we students look forward to other than getting our cum laudes. So right now at 03:11 in the morning (my blog timing might be wrong  I have to sort that out) I’m researching  on how some of the successful universities (not saying mine isn’t) are achieving these result.

Some of you might be confused to what this publish is about. It is about putting a current focus to my blog which is my campaign (Yes it’s starting now) #overachievertendencies. I’m hoping this will attract more attention to our SRC elections.
